Lovely Finds: Brit Morin {shutterfly by design}
July 08, 2014Shutterfly invited me to sample customized
lovelies from the shop in exchange for
an honest review I happily here of
a few of their resident designers.
Shutterfly by Design's recent event showcasing
the imaginative designs of creative talents like Brit Morin
featured beautiful living rooms with hand-picked
furnishings, carefully-curated accents and
personalized home decor, and Brit's
is pure joy.
BRIT'S DESIGN TIPS
- Get creative! Use a service like Shutterfly to turn your photos and digital designs into custom pillows, coasters and blankets that coordinate. It’s amazing what a little planning can do to elevate your space.
- Potted plants are a must. These will add life and color to your room without needing to be refreshed every week. Succulents and cacti tend to be the heartiest and most colorful.
- Turn one wall of your living room into a rotating art gallery. Fill it with a mix of photographs printed on wood or canvas made on Shutterfly, prints or artwork found at flea markets and art fairs, and a few pinned-up postcards. Change things out a few times a year to keep it fresh.
Even if pastels are not yer thing, you've got to
admire the contemporary uniqueness of Brit's vision.
(This may be the first ice cream cone terrarium i have spied).
So the next time, you are eyeing that blank wall
and thinking you need to leave the comfort of
your cozy bed to buy art...think photos
or personalized art by YOU
with the help of
Shutterfly.
Brit Morin is the founder/CEO of Brit + Co,
a site that connects millions of creatively minded folks,
and if she were my little sister, I would sooooooo be
stealing this Rubikriffic outfit of hers.
Peace to you right where you are.
