We're traveling back in time once again
to revisit a few of my favorite lovelies
in Paris...today, sculptures by
Rosaline Granet
are in the spotlight.
(And read on to learn who
won the MicroCotton Giveaway!)
The art begins at the entrance to the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome.

Roseline Granet
is 80 now.
She studied design and painting
in New York in 1954
before sculpting in Paris.
With sculptor Jacques Delahaye,
she founded the Clementi foundry
in Meudon, near Auguste Rodin's studio.
Isn't this dreamy peek

What a privilege to share space with Granet's
mesmerizing forms who float, stretch, and soar
throughout the palace designated Park Hyatt.

as did the hotel's mysterious bespoke scent
created especially for them by Blaise Mautin.

It looks like it was a lovely stay there too. The sculptures are amazing. I also really like the Rodin museum, and we were so disappointed, because most of the inside was under renovation last year when I took my daughter. I also had no idea that this hotel nearby had such an interesting history. Maybe we will stop and visit the lobby when we revisit this summer. xoxo Su

ReplyDeleteRoseline And her works of art in its raw stage is as beautiful as coasted to bronze. I love the body sitting in the grass and leaves, I xould love this piece as is, hanging mounted to a wall in my home.
I am working on Cartapesta pieces right now, they are molded to a wire form stuffed with paper in the start of my paper and plasters that will take on a haunting look of play of intrigue for my theatre productions.
Your beautiful suite was a stay of all stays, wonderful history, beautiful bronze pieces and you my dear as stunning as always fitting right in your environment. ... Awww! Paris !

So fabulous....80 and going strong wow, she looks fantastic and it must be that passion for what she does that keeps her going. EVERYTHING in France looks more beautiful.....ever noticed that:)
