My Home: In Winter
February 27, 2014
Behold, Bella in her hoarfrosty glory!
*hoarfrost...ice crystals forming on vegetation or any object
chilled below freezing point by radiation cooling.
This deposit of ice crystals may sometimes be so thick
it resembles snow.
BTW, in the spirit of hoarfrost,
I googled 'lady of the night; bad highlights'
and up popped an image of...forget it...
Now that's what I'M talkin about.
God is def giving the Prince of Peace knuckles for this one.

Ya know, there's cold.
And then there's friggin freezing cold.
Which is what we got.
A few shots from inside our home on a frosty day:
Beyond this speakeasy door is winter for non-wimps.
Our front yard.
Through the laundry room window.
Holy icicles.
Hoarfrosty blizzards aside,
you just can't argue with nature's gorgeousness.

Like yer winter hoarfrosty?
Peace to you right where you are.

ReplyDeleteXO Mary
enjoying images of it beats the real thing any day! :)
DeleteI think whenever we get extreme weather that lasts... it gets tiring. Seattle doesn't have this kind of cold however we are known for lots of drizzle and rain. It makes our forests lush and green but it can also cause some folks to get SDD. I use a special light in the morning during the months that are really dreary. It's supposed to help although I'm not sure it does much. There are some parts of the world (even CA!) that don't get change of seasons. I think having seasonal weather is good for us. It's just unfortunate when it goes to the extreme. Gorgeous pics Michele;)
ReplyDeleteYour pup is so darn cute.. love doggies:):) xxL
Wow, it's beautiful but I can't say I envy it. We've had no snow at all this winter (I know that sounds great but we've had stupid amounts of rain, it's been warmer than normal and very very wet) and I can't say I miss it. Absolutely stunning to look at mind you, there's no doubt as your pictures here show... but do I want to live in a wintery world? Give me the beach and sunshine any day ;) (that's my Puerto Rican roots speaking no doubt about it) ;) Stay warm my lovely one xxx
ReplyDeleteBella is so cute! Those pics are beautiful but stay warm :)
