Let's be perfectly candid...
there's "French Farmhouse" style
a lot of Americans try to emulate, and
then there's the real thing, as in, a farmhouse
located in France (the Camargue), with a mix
of modern and antique elements.
It isn't contrived frou frou with roosters and
little plaques proclaiming 'chocolat';
but in fact, it sports terrazzo floors
and leather butterfly chairs.
My own take on Euro-country style
at the fixer upper is spare but cozy
with lots of Belgian linen.
I saw this home on Annie's Stylejuicer
and couldn't quite get it out of my noggin.
Perhaps because it breaks any number
of unspoken design rules and refuses to be
just one thing...and this blogger loves
a renegade!
What say ye?
Can you imagine abiding in a traditional, old
farmhouse where you opt to go modern inside?
