My Art: Where My Art Lives {a Beach House}
January 13, 2012
It has been a few weeks since I picked up
a paintbrush so I felt all fancy to see images
of a pair of abstract panels created for Michelle at
Emerald Cove.
Do you know Michelle?
Then you already love her.
She is one of those ladies with a fabulous eye,
creativity, and a passion for coastal touches.
Her home is a beachy wonderland.
We will forgive her parents for putting that extra L
in her beautiful name.
We will forgive her parents for putting that extra L
in her beautiful name.
(For awhile there, when I wasn't writing,
I was creating lots of arty accessories
for folks all over the planet. I love the creation
part but not the marketing, PR, and business side.
Still deciding what I will sell next at my etsy shop.)
Michelle often uses driftwood in her creations.
Hues of sea, sand, and sky remind
me of my beachy sista and were a natural choice
for this blogger with so much heart and soul.
Isn't all the white and bright fabulous?
Peace to you right where you are.
Peace to you right where you are.

she truly is. thx so much for the kind words.
ReplyDeleteI consider sweet Michelle my "lil sis". When we met for the first time at a flea market last summer, it was like we had always known each other. She is a dear heart, a creative artist, and has an "old" soul - being so mature in her thinking and talent. I love her dearly! She's the best!! ♥

Oh my beachy sista you are the sweetest! Thank for such a beautiful post, and yes, we will forgive my parents for that little letter. :) I love your art and I love looking at your beautiful paintings, they always make me smile. I so agree about the PR part too, artists just want to create and I think you need to pick up that brush more often. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your wonderful comments too, you sure know how to make gals feel good.

ReplyDeleteMichelle is one of the sweetest ladies in blogworld! I love her beachy style and her gorgeous home! Thanks for the beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteStill trying to decide how she got that starfish inside the glass lamp!!!! Of course I love her "white" house.....and I agree with you, marketing is just not my thing.....I suck at it.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage but I also love contemporary and I am crazy about those paintings. Love to mix the two. If I had a beach house (my wish someday) I would have to have those. :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any modern in our home...But I still love it in the right mix. You have done a great job of marrying your art work to your decor. Love your images.
