A favorite gift idea ... one of the best gifts I gave my parents was to scan old photos of the family. I created a book online and had it printed and presented it to them at their 60th anniversary. It made my dad cry ... in a good way.

A gift idea I'm thinking about right now is the Med Beach Stones. I know my daughter would love those.

I follow your blog. I love these hearts.

A favorite gift idea are American Girl Dolls for my granddaughters. I am very frugal so this is out of the norm. But Grammy buys one baby doll and one grownup one for the girls.

Another favorite gift idea is making something out of photos taken during the year....a scrapbook, mug, canvas, and etc.

Another gift idea.......a marshmallow shooter for my grandson.

Those paintings are AMAZING! I would LOVE to have one for my home.

Gift idea #1: Something monogrammed (for a girl, of course). They can be inexpensive gifts that are still more personal that giving a gift card.

Gift idea #2: Some type of care package. My best friend is finishing her first semester of law school, and sending a care package for breaks in between studying means a lot!

Gift idea #3: An engraved picture frame.. my bf lost his mother a few years ago to brain cancer, so I had a Pottery Barn silver frame engraved with her name and a quote and put a photo of her in it.

I love to give coasters. They're useful and can be quite beautiful.

I love the idea of having a "family" stamp to seal Christmas cards envelopes, stamp salt dough ornaments, or even to stamp plain butcher paper and use as Christmas wrapping paper! I love the custom stamp and the heart stones. A few years back while on a canoe trip, my daughter found a large heart-shaped stone and I've been on the look out for more ever since.

Here's a great idea for close friends ... through the year as you shop with them, (for me that is usually junking), there are always items they almost buy themselves, but maybe its a bit too much money, or they already got themselves something ... just sneak back and buy it, label it, store it and surprise!!

My favorite gifts are photo gifts, I love receiving scrapbooks, photo mugs, photo ornaments and even photo in a frame.

When I ran a home childcare, I would have the kids make hand print art calendars for the parents. They were always a huge hit.

Finally my favorite gift I have given is a digital subway art picture I made for my mother-in-law that has all the names of her grandchildren in different fonts.

for my next entry.....another gift idea is more specific to the little ones in my life. my son and nephews (we have a lot of boys in this family) love art projects at this point and I think it would be great to purchase all the items for a specific project, print up some pretty instructions, and place it all in a fun little container for the next rainy/snowy day at home.

A message in stone is creative, original and represents that simple act of finding and saving a small rock, or large, remembrance from a walk in the forest or at the beach. Their designs are wonderful.

I went to IkEA tonight, and my daughter spotted a set of four forks, spoons, and knives with pretty pale green handles. I'm not sure they will last long. They were only 5.99. But she wants me to wrap them up for Christmas.
