Travel Inspiration: Paris Prep {Our apartment in the Latin Quarter}
June 25, 2012
This will be our home away from home
The apartment is located in a typical Haussmanian building
one block from the Seine and just across the river from
Notre Dame in one of Paris' oldest districts.
I also wanted a balcony, and in this apartment
there is a little one which is just fine for me.
I also wanted a balcony, and in this apartment

The bedroom is tres jolie, isn't it?
It overlooks a quiet street, and the
lavender tones are soothing.
Will we be watching TV?
Doubtful.
The true test will be summoning the willpower
to not rearrange these shelves in a more
appealing manner.
A small but efficient kitchen
with everything we need.
(and more light!)
And a casual dining space.
Yes, please.
I thought the towel warmer was a great perk.
We will be walking 4 flights up.
We booked the apartment through
Haven in Paris,
and of course I will share
more of the Paris experience
after our stay.
Peace to you right where you are.

You'll have an amazing, amazing time! Not sure if you noticed by reply to a comment of yours way back when - just in case you have time on your Helsinki stopover, do get in touch, x
ReplyDeleteYou aren't excited are you Michele? It all looks so wonderful and atually large for a Paris apartment. I have several American friends who live there and their apartments are tiny!

ReplyDeleteMichele, you are going to have the most wonderful time. It is Paris Baby! I am so happy for you and hubby!
Did I tell you that my best friend Stacey and her family are also going to Paris? Leaving July 3rd. And they are renting an apartment downtown! Wouldn't that be fun if I could put you all together!
Hugs to you lovely friend.

You are going to have the BEST time! The apartment is gorgeous and looks like the perfect place to unwind after a full day soaking up the sights and sounds of Paris!
ReplyDeleteLovely!!!! That blue door is so chic - the whole place looks great. We rented a lot of apartments during our travels in Europe vs. hotels (much easier with kids). I LOVED it. I felt so much more like a local but yes, it was hard not to rearrange everything on shelves, etc. :) So excited for you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh that is just a GORGEOUS space! How lucky are you!! Go and rearrange those shelves, they need the 'Michele' touch of magic! ;) xxx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness gracious! A balcony in Paris with lots of light and a view...! love the bedroom with the soft lavender, and the shell prints over the bed. Everything looks so clean and bright and uncomplicated... the perfect backdrop for your Paris experience...
