Around Chicago: Camp Hello Lovely {Part 2}
July 05, 2012
Today I'm sharing a few more glimpses
Some particulars we loved about the Waldorf Astoria:
*The architectural wonder of the hotel designed by Lucien Lagrange.
(Limestone, zinc clad mansard roofs, wrought iron balconies...)
*The luxurious on site Elysian spa.
(The saline pool will leave your skin soft, and do prepare yourself
for the best rainhead shower EVER if like us, you get ready here.)
*The incredible location surrounded by great dining.
(We left the Gold Coast for the rooftop of Pegasus in Greek Town
where we sampled crab cakes, flaming saganaki, chicken brochettes,
grilled shrimp, and of course, gyro yum.)
*Amazing accomodations including Vi-spring beds, fireplace, and soaking tub.
(I booked a room at a great pre-paid rate then requested an upgrade.)
*Fabulous shopping right outside the door.
(BHLDN is steps away and will have you sighing.)
In this rendering, you can see the hotel's
uniquely designed motor court.
You feel as though you have arrived in France.
* * *
One more thing.
Ours was a reasonably priced getaway since
we shared the cost of a room, traveled in one car
(use the valet service, you won't regret it!)
and enjoyed casual dining!
Ready to camp hello lovely style?
Peace to you right where you are.
