Fashion Inspiration: Whispery Pink
January 05, 2013At present, I am sitting inside
a snow globe...a winter wonderland
outside our windows,
a restful retreat inside
with chai, a quietly crackling candle
(my first one!), and a freshly groomed
Bella Luna.

Everyone who sees this painting in our home
smiles and must know more about the artist.
Cindy loves pink, and I am
feelin the palest, blushiest
shades right now.
Aren't we all craving serene
little pockets of time
in which to dream
weightlessly in pink?
Still loving what theRodarte sisters did in 2008
with this fall/winter collection.
You are invited into my dream.
Here's what I'm wearing.
photography: Autumn De Wilde
I'm sure my venture into blissfully
whispery pink solitude
has nothing at all to do with the pasta
dinner I prepared for 35 swimmers
last night at our house...right?
Peace to you right where you are.

Love all the ethereal feel of this. I think of this as a relaxing retreat, with hazy pink all around me. Maybe I should look into getting a really soft and fluffy pale pink bathrobe and it will help me to dream a little! Thanks for sharing. -K
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh my goodness, that collection by Rodarte makes me swoon. It's heavenly... I am honored to be mentioned in a post with the absolute perfect, magical shade of pink!

ReplyDeleteI can totally see you whipping up some amazing pasta for a bunch of hungry swimmers!! I bet it was amazing as always!
ReplyDeleteLoved every image and can't wait to show my Mom!! She owns and runs a dance store and loves anything that has to do with dance! My Mom was never and dancer but she had a sister who danced for Ballet West and was incredible!! I know my Mom will love your dream as well! It's fun getting peaks into your brilliant mind!
Lots of love!

ReplyDelete10 pounds of pasta gone like *snap* that. i did two varieties of baked pasta so i could do it ahead. they were the sweetest group of swimmers and appreciated our candle lit cozy affair!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see an elegant ballerina....soft pink always comes to my mind, Michele. I love the sweetness of it....like the arrival of springtime! :)
