8 Holiday Gift Ideas
November 26, 2016
I am behind in my Christmas shopping this year
even though I began ordering online back in
September...so I hope to be done with it in the next week
or so, and the following holiday gift ideas are
not random guesses but rather items I own,
love, and use so I hope that helps!

What to Give
1.
More Harmonious Showers.
($70-90)
This Aquatunes wireless bluetooth speaker is
made for elevating the showering experience
with ease.
It includes a 110V docking station/charging base,
and the battery life is 8 hours between charging!
What's the fuss about Aquatunes?
Oh, mama.The price is friendly.

Country Living
2.
Cleopatra Lovely.
($34)
I discovered Tocca's Cleopatra scent years ago
at the Elysian Spa within the Waldorf Astoria Chicago
and have been enjoying the hand soap, Shower Gel,
and fragrance ever since...it has this clean,
grapefruit/cucumber/complexity that lifts my mood.
Country Living
3.
Maileg Wonder.
I love my little collection of friendly mice!
Grandmas to grandkids love Maileg for good reason.
Designed by a Denmark husband and wife and
created of 100% cotton with quality, these
soft lovelies become future heirlooms.
4.
Diptyque Goodness.
($30-and up)
I love this Parisian company Diptyque
and their candles and fragrances, in part
since I spent time at Diptyque's flagship Paris
store on St. Germain (we rented an apartment
near the shop, and a knowledgeable manager there
went out of his way to teach me about fragrance).
One of those valuable lessons was how to burn
multiple scented candles for a unique complex
scentual experience.
Our family is hooked on their unisex scents,
and my guys are partial to this one in particular:
A room spray to transport you to Paris
without packing a thing.
What to Ask Santa For...
Some favorites this year hail from:
Canada,
Amsterdam,
the UK,
the USA,
and
Nepal.
1.
Hand-loomed Goodness.
(around $40)
I doubt I am the only one who appreciates a lovely bath,
and it is truly easier than you might think to elevate
this simple experience with a luxuriant element
at a fair price point for its high level of
hand-loomed quality, longevity, and beauty...
I discovered the lovely Canadian maker
and fell hard for their style, craft, and design sense.
Crafted from quality Turkish cotton using an ancient
hand-loomed method reserved for royalty,
towels from Pamuk make it possible
to give the lovely gift of luxury which
will keep giving all year long.
Pamuk towels are big! And they are beautiful!
When you behold one of these hand-loomed creations,
your imagination just may be ignited...is it a
beach towel? bath towel? blanket?
shawl? baby wrap? yoga mat?
OUI.
My favorite Pamuk collection?
(We shall forgive Pamuk for the extra L.)
These gorgeous Pamuk Turkish towels/wraps/essentials
turned up the spa-factor in our own bath here at
the fixer upper and are an indulgence even
the most practical-minded bathers will
want to reach for.
The Michelle - Silver Grey Stripe
2.
A book of wonder by Piet Boon.
(about $60)
I gave you the inside scoop about this book by
international design studio Piet Boon right here,
and I can think of no better home accessory,
source of design inspiration, or lovely for
your library than the incredibly beautiful
volume of recent lovely Piet Boon projects
which are photographed gloriously.
3.
A housekeeping phenom to wield like a light saber.
(a bit of a splurge)
The Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum
Admittedly, I am a card carrying domestic clean freak
who loves to keep a tidy nest, so scroll right by if
you'd prefer a new coat over a cordless wonder
capable of sucking up pet hair like it's nobody's business.
I have this Dyson bad boy (converts quickly
to handheld) docked on my laundry room wall,
at the ready to erase dust and allergens.
does it look heavy? it's not.
4.
Smoother Skin.
(50% off through Nov. 30 with code FF2030)
Your Best Face Skincare antiaging products
(including this gentle source of Vitamin C
which I use every night) are created in small
batches using the safest and effective ingredients.
5.
Dermaflash dermaplaning device.
($189)
Dermaflash is an exfoliating device with
a built-in computer and the sweetest
hummingbird design I explain further here.
Find it here.
6.
A Goat for Nepal
(you get to name it!).
(around $50)
Yes. A goat. Stick with me. I love this so much.
We have progressed from Turkey to Canada to Nepal
to discover the story of Rachel in the UK and her quest to
bring aid to remote mountainous areas of Nepal
where good souls live in extreme poverty.
Rachel in Nepal
Last year's earthquake hurt two villages, and
Rachel longs to help by providing families
with a goat to create income and opportunities.
I would name her Lovely.
$50 will buy a family a goat, and Rachel's team
will even pop a collar on the goat with your name
or whatever name you wish to commemorate.
Do human beings like Rachel warm you to the soul?
Because I feel so inspired by the beauty of her mission
which I read about on Devol Kitchens' blog.
That's a winning smile, beautiful Rachel.
It shines a light on human kindness,
mercy, and hope for mountainside villages
in faraway lands.
Thanks for shopping here today, friends!
Peace to you right where you are.
