Books: Paris in Color

April 19, 2012

Author and blogger Nichole Robertson
calls her new book
(Chronicle Books)
a happy accident.
But clearly this is a
a lovely lady living
with a lot of intention.
My copy on my nightstand looks scrumptious,
and i have peeked at a few pages before bed each eve.
I just said 'each eve.'

She captures magic.

After moving to France in 2009
and sharing photos on her blog,
she realized her passion for
color coding her shots.

Nichole continued to document
her love for Paris in Color.

Voila!
From blog to book!

What color is Paris for you?????
I have not yet visited, but I think of greige!

Peace to you right where you are.

  22. Wonderful! Love the colour coding.. actually love Paris full stop.
Just heaven in any / all colours that it comes in. For some reason I think of cream, light gray, black and accents of orange/red.. I see silhouettes of sand stone houses, black rails of Juliette balconies, the steel structure of the Eiffel Tower.. the greys and whites with hints of metal of the bridges, the coble stoned streets.. Sophistication and edge everywhere in one happy melange of elegance and style. One of my favourite cities in the world.

Was in Paris a mere few weeks ago and Spring had just about sprung. Chestnut trees about to burst open their buds in a fanfar of beauty. Sigh..

Loving the book. Would adore a copy on my bedside also.

  24. Thanks for the link to the blog Little Brown Pen. I have never been to Paris ~ maybe, hopefully, maybe, hopefully, someday. The color of Paris to me is some sort of amazing gray like the skies are here in Seattle.
