{Lovely Finds} Ode to the Apron
March 10, 2013
Oh, I really hope you were not expecting an uber
clever lyric poem about protective garments.
That would've been swell, wouldn't it?
Too bad my weekend was packed with fun and
lacking a quiet moment to pen a singsong aprony ditty.

Too bad my weekend was packed with fun and

This Frenchy wine themed one I'm wearing is from Enchanted Home.
More than protecting my white tees from stains,
I like how it announces to everyone I am large,
in charge, and ready to stir up delish.
Pointe shoes are optional, obvi.
(But nuthin says Yo, this sugar plum fairy be ready
to blow yer mind wit mad Calphalon style than
european pink slippers and a poppin apron.)
Raising my glass to Tina who is celebrating her shop's 1st anniversary!
For sure, this is the last post in which
you'll see me climbin on top of tables,
counters, and consoles.

Here's another option to crush on.
A Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture
overdyed pale pink floral apron which is
cute enough to wear away from the kitchen.
Also it hides a belly bloated from booze or just years of good food.

Git down, Rachel.
Go 'head, git down.
Into aprons?
Peace to you right where you are.

I'm into aprons since the holidays when Dylan dog gave me a few. I cook and wipe my hands on my pants and someone got tired of hearing me whine about the mess on my person....hello aprons! You know what I like about you Michele, the red wine glass always in your hand, my kind of gal!

ReplyDeleteMichele are those the Shabby Chic Toms wedges I spy???? I *heart* them. I love aprons, too, but I tell ya that the combination red wine and toe shoes with our uneven limestone floors would put me in traction, but you look too, too cute!

ReplyDeleteLovely pics of you! hx
You know what I love, that white tshirt you have on! I'm also enchanted by the reflection of you in the mirror with your T... and all tousled hair and jeans... so freakin great... Of course the photo with the wine and ballet slippers and apron is cool too. It brings images of you dancing around the kitchen, drinking wine, cooking yummy goodies, and twirling around in a delightful sort of way... pretty much like in a musical... smile
