Michele so much inspiration, I am sure you used a lot of this to inspire your beautiful cottage I see it all around you.
ReplyDeleteI love the slender mirrors used in some of the bathrooms and the penny tiled wall is wonderful. Back in the early 90' I had a sizable home and the entryway of my front entrance was all penny tile on the floor with flat earth tones and I loved it. And the look!
As for that sea view with the view out those panoramic windows could you imagine waking to that everyday? Geeze the view would be my calm.
Loved seeing all that inspires you, it inspires me as well.

feels like we're really just moving in since just now we are hanging a few paintings! the key word around these parts is simple. also unfussy!
DeleteI did that fish embossed dresser detail to a mirror in Lake Placid , I printed out copies of antique fish prints and decoupaged them then did a good dose of lacquer over it. I wish I took a photo way back when of that project. I cant wait to see you do that to a piece of furniture! Love SR too!

DeleteI too, love the Sarah Richardson ideas and designs. I miss seeing her on TV as her programs were fantastic. Every one of her rooms were made to live in, not to look at, but enjoy. I especially like her use of the pops of color, her use of antiques with new. Thank you for sharing some of her great remodels.

DeleteWe are trying to do something similar in our mudroom so I'll be showing this to my husband. So simple and the symmetry .. not as easy to create (everywhere) as one might think, right?
