25 years
August 26, 2012
In 1987, while still in college
we married at a place called
Nazareth Hall.
I wrote a special song
a friend performed, and our parents took care of
all the details of the very formal candlelit affair.
With no real sense of style back then, my ensemble
had wayyyy too much goin' on...but it WAS the glam 80s.
I fell in love with my handsome Norwegian groom
with the French last name the year I graduated
from high school,
and we have been together ever since.
A vintage Rolls Royce delivered us to the reception.
We are not the perfect couple.
But we are perfect for each other.
Peace to you right where you are.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I was married in the 80's as well. Things at that time were over the top. Maybe that is why so many of us are drawn to a much simpler look now.
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures of a beautiful couple..Happy anniversary!

Omgosh, what a beautiful bride and groom. You my dear are still a real beauty!! I love seeing wedding pictures, young and in love, it doesn't get any better than that. I fell in love with my groom of 42 years when I was a mere 16 years old and he is still my sweetheart. Have you seen the pin on pinterest that says.... "The only thing I would change is I would marry you sooner so I could have more time with you?" That is exactly how I feel and I know you feel that way about your hubby too,
