Fashion: Kate Towers Dress & secrets
August 31, 2012
Finally!
More pictures than you can shake a Gucci stick at
of me in a Kate Towers Go Ask Alice gown in its
fairytalelovely and marigoldlicious glory.
I have never heard of a Gucci stick, and yet...I want one.
It is a comfy comfy cotton with
amazing raw, formed by hand
ruffles that sing.
(4-minute photo shoot by my husband.)
I imagined a shoot of the dress in a meadow
or the forest behind our home, but this
vintage romantic girl in the city
schtick has its charms too.
And this is the part where I tell you secrets:
Had to photoshop tragic wrinkly neck stuff and did it miserably!
I'm sure I'll get used to this turkey-ish skin.
Oy. Not today.
Peace to you right where you are.

I think you look gorgeous! That gown is beautiful and the color is great on you!! And yes, damn it, we aren't (and don't have to be) swimsuit models.
ReplyDeleteOh you look gorgeous and the gown is divine!!.....Marigold looks great with blonde hair and who would want to be a swim suit model when you can look this beautiful posing for your husband? ;) xxx
ReplyDeleteYou are one dang pretty girl! I agree...it is hell growing old and seeing all of those wrinkles! I hate it.
ReplyDeleteBut that yellow dress is stunning....and I am sure your husband does not even see them :)
GAAAHHHH! I love the dress, i love what you said, and i love you! You look freakin gorgeous in that good lord almighty marigold masterpeice! And it's even cotton!!!?? I think you need to take a ride out of the city and run around in a meadow in that dress, barefoot, getting photos too... it's beggin for it! I think the dress needs it's own blog, featuring it in Paris, in a meadow, in a closet... you get the picture...

Well said Michele. Beautiful women are NOT perfect.. they make the most out of what God gave-um (that's the shot off the mountain part!) and then the rest is all about inner spiritual beauty and a sparkle in the eyes.. ALL of which YOU have. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend Michele :)
Beautiful you!! You do not need photoshop, Michele! Enjoy the long weekend :)
ReplyDeletexoxo,

ReplyDeleteWell, I think you're most gorgeous! You look so pretty in this beautiful gown and the color looks great on you. I love your pretty hair too! Oh, my, I need to chop my entire body! I'm just hanging out all over the place! ;)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
The dress is beautiful on you. I'm impressed with your photoshop skills, but I'm sure you would have looked just as lovely as it was (though your great to tell, we are all in the same boat).
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me?!! You are absolutely GORGEOUS!!! That is one proud hubby... being able to take those pics! He's thinking, "DANG!"
ReplyDeleteSorry I have been so distant, super busy and tired of moving and sorting these days... almost done!
Best wishes beautiful lady!
Desiree
You look stunning, and absolute love the dress. Happy weekend ~
ReplyDeleteLovely and hilarious. Now, that's a winning combination. xx's
ReplyDeleteYou look like a real fashion model, my friend! I love the dress, I would like to wear that one too. Is your hubby's photo shoot in NYC?? I'm originally from Astoria, NY and I adore that big building view. Thanks for coming by pretty lady.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
You look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'll shout with you
(although I could swear you could be a swimsuit model... ),
but so liberating that we don't have to be,
just healthy and comfortable in our skin...
sooooo liberating! i just need to remind myself now and again.
ReplyDeletethanks for all the shouting!!! keep it comin.
:)
You look great, but I feel your pain! I hate getting old. What I find frustrating is so many women in my area have something done to their face( Botox, fillers, face lift) and it makes you feel older. Can't we all just get older naturally and graciously!
ReplyDeletegorgeous dress especially on your gorgeous self...why are we sooo hard on ourselves? i have swimsuit model legs, but my upper body keeps growing more boobs in new places.
ReplyDelete'more boobs in new places' made my night, erin.
ReplyDeleteha! thank God we don't HAVE to be swimsuit models.
michele
Don't be so hard on yourself -- you're gorgeous! These photos are truly divine...I love the soft finish, and I must ask if that's simply the lighting in the room or if PS had something to do with it?
ReplyDeletethanks, mandi.
ReplyDeletebeing hard on myself is a special talent i have!
the lighting was phenom natural light at the waldorf astoria. i actually don't use photo shop. just occasionally lighten pics up in picmonkey.
:)
Oh Michele I think you are stunningly beautiful. To me you look like a moviestar!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress too!
Just like Erin describe I also have strange boobs growing in wrong places. ;-)
Have a wonderful day sweetie!
love from Susanne
Looking sooooo pretty Michele! You are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous Michele, not everyone can wear that shade of yellow...like me for instance...I look like I'm dead....and your figure is great!!! Robx
ReplyDeleteOh silly woman, you are beautiful, truly, inside and out, no Photoshop required... I mean that completely.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I do understand. I'm 40 in a few months and it is kinda killing me... I see lines that weren't there yesterday and I feel like my youth is escaping my grasp as everything is heading south. The ladies at work are all 'faked up' to the max (hair extensions, lashes, botox, fake tan, fake boobs, I'm not even exaggerating, the list goes on) and the pressure to fight the process every step of the way is strong! But when I think of women I admire - the ones I feel that are truly beautiful - these are the ones that are kind and funny and smart and interesting and interested. Not all faked up with not a line on their face. And that makes me feel better. Most of the time.
That dress is divine and you look divine in it. Your hubby is a lucky man ;) xxx
So FAB that you did a photo shoot with your hubby! Right on! I LOVE that real women are not super models. Real women have chin hair, and crazy body stuff that appears outta nowhere with a hot flash to boot. LOL.
ReplyDeleteBig love,
Love your SITE !
Lynne xx
