Patina Farm + Anthropologie!
February 15, 2017Anthropologie Spring 2017 |
Did you see our fixer upper's master bedroom reveal
in my last post? You'll be able to tell I blogged it
late at night, stream of consciousness style,
since I get out of control and teary as I reveal
not just the bedroom's makeover but my
heart too as I am learning so much on
this renovation journey where life
continues to teach lessons in humility.
Our approach at the fixer upper is
inspired by the work of the Giannettis
(albeit on a more limited budget
and a .8 acre lot) as I'm always after
peaceful interiors that soothe.
I cannot pass up an opportunity to post
lovely from Steve and Brooke Giannetti's
Patina Farm (their beautiful Ojai, California
modern farmhouse oasis created with master
craftmanship, decorated with timeless patina style,
and filled with collected European antiques and treasures).
What a treat Anthropologie used Patina Farm
as a backdrop for their Spring 2017 catalog
so we get glimpses of these rooms we love
outfitted in boho chic prints, patterns, and colors.
I thought it would be fun to see the contrasts
in the decor as imagined by Anthropologie
and in its original gorgeous Giannetti Home essence.
Ready to play along? Awesome.
The gorgeous Anthropologie moment above
is from Patina Farm's vegetable garden,
where even Brooke's chickens are superstars
and wound up as Anthropologie models!

How fun is that?
And who would ever have thought Anthropologie
would turn Steve Giannetti's home office into this...

If you're curious about the furnishings, I am including
some details for those as well.
Anthropologie Medina Abstract-Printed Emrys Dining Chair |

While colorful prints and patterns are not
elements in the style I love, let's take a peek
at what Brooke and Steve's master bedroom porch
looks like with a completely different decor approach.
Anthropologie House and Home Spring 2017 |
Very bold, fresh, young and edgy
as opposed to how the porch
looks in real life...
Patina Farm - master bedroom porch |
Does a California farmhouse vista from the
porch get more breathtaking than that? I think not.
If you have seen images of the living room at
Patina Farm then prepare yourself for a fresh take
when Anthropologie stepped in...
Anthropologie House and Home Spring 2017 |
Wow! I don't think I would have recognized it
as Patina Farm, which has a timeless and
tranquil aesthetic I so admire and try
to emulate.

I could live at that window seat with all the linen, plaster book shelves, and Giannetti Home magic. |
Anthropologie styled the room with a cotton velvet,
Moroccan inspired, boldly scaled informal sectional.
Anthropologie Medina-Print Tassa Sectional |
So fun to see blue introduced in the dining chairs
and rug in this Anthropologie styled space.

And another bold patterned sectional looks very
luxurious bohofresh and ready for its rich hippies.

Brooke tells us that Steve's home office morphed
into this bedroom as well for the shoot.

Anyone else concerned that one could
easily roll over in the bed above and be
pierced by a nice cactus spine?
That'll get ya up in the morning.
Alternatively, one could easily daydream
for hours in this linen-cushioned dream of
a window seat below.
Patina Farm - Home Office |
definitely the prettiest bedroom I have ever
laid eyes on, and re-imagined with Anthropologie
furnishings.
Anthropologie House and Home Spring 2017 |
It's amazing how Steve and Brooke's love of simple
bare windows without trim so easily translates
into modern hippie style from Anthropologie.

Here's another Anthropologie bedroom from the catalog.
Anthropologie House and Home Spring 2017 |
Not surprisingly, I fell in love with the most
minimal, white, simple side table from
Anthropologie used in this staged bedroom.
Here is some detail:

Isn't it stunning, and don't you think it could
work in a lot of places regardless of
a particular design style?
The chandelier in here is also a beauty.

This wall art from Anthropologie would work
with so many different flavors of interior design.

And wouldn't it be fun to design a room around
this Rivona chair?
