as we recall the period of time at the turn of
this century, when a show on cable starred
neighbors who decorated other neighbors' homes
with the help of a daring interior designer
and one thousand bucks?

I mean, what could go wrong, right?
Everybody wants the dentist next door to
choose drapes for their boudoir and
paint their kitchen cabinets purple, oui?

Remember the drama!?!
There was this one episode of Trading Spaces...
omg, there were so so many episodes like this...but
sometimes the homeowner
absolutely hated the reveal!

Wasn't that show excruciating to watch!?!

And design-wise...haven't you and I
and America come an awfully long way
since the early 2000's?

There has been a democratization of beautiful design
and a taste revolution with more education and exposure
to good design via blogland and even sometimes TV.
