Paris Inspiration: a Secret Avenue, an Apartment, and a Fixer Upper for Sale!
May 29, 2017
and private Avenue Frochot (in Pigalle)
(images via Messy Nessy).
When I visited Paris, we were so busy
that the days flew by and believe it or not,
I never did sit still at a café to people watch!
My favorite thing to do in Paris?
Wandering.
Allowing myself time to be surprised and
drawn into the mystique.
Avenue Frochot has a most colorful cultural
history, and these images explain part of the story.
The listing says this apartment is available
A new Paris real estate listing
(also spied on Messy Nessy)
has me swooning with all its decayed glory
and distressed beautiful mess.
Situated in Paris’ up and coming 19th arrondissement,
next to the Philharmonic music halls,
it’s currently on the market for 880,000 euros.
Let's tour this Paris fixer upper!
I'll tell you what. If you buy it,
I'll pack a bag and help you strip that wallpaper
and polish the magnifique herringbone floors.
(Can I keep some wallpaper though?)
One more thing.
I reviewed an advance copy of
this book by Susan Cahill, and it's
magic:
The Streets of Paris
Take Susan Cahill with you to Paris or
allow her to transport you there virtually
with The Streets of Paris!
The book's release is next week,
and you can pre-order now
for a lovely summer read!
Are my Frenchie friends tres inspired?
Peace to you right where you are.

DeleteI, too, am a Paris street walker. I spend 8 to 10 hours a day just walking around the streets photoing all the fabulous architecture. Good way to shed a couple pounds as well. There is something beautiful to photo very few steps.
