Books: American Thoroughbred {Neil Latham}

July 11, 2016

Fine art photographer Neil Latham was compelled to capture
the essence of the Thoroughbred for a very personal reason:
after his mother passed away, his vision was to
remember her through their beauty.

American Thoroughbred

That vision is realized in American Thoroughbred.

For three years, Latham traveled across the United States
photographing Thoroughbred legends such as A.P. Indy,
Curlin, Tapit, Rachel Alexandra, Ghostzapper,
and Zenyatta (with whom he shared a special connection).

This limited edition, slipcased treasure can make your fine art library happier.

You may view the exhibit of American Thoroughbred
(more than 25 large-scale black and white photographs
of America's greatest racehorses, including American Pharoah)
at Steven Kasher Gallery in New York, through July 29, 2016.

I am so moved by Latham's journey of love.

Truly this project is a testament to the power
of a son's devotion to preserve his mother's
memory, somewhere hidden in the form
of
the Thoroughbred.

Peace to you right where you are.
