the book Positively Chic.

about the design project:
“Soul retrieval was the real transformation here,” says Chastain of the revitalized space. “I have emotional connections to everything. And I want things to make me feel good when I’m around them.” Chastain, Passi, Carrier and Miller all worked together to give the home a respectful facelift full of the good vibes the actress was after.

"The walls are upholstered in silk in the library (top) and textured with a luxe faux-suede finish in the living room (not pictured). Furnishings, including a paisley-printed ottoman, a restored 1954 Rock-Ola jukebox and even a silver chandelier in the kitchen feel homey in the grand space. Or, as Chastain puts it, they returned the space to its “warm and cozy glory.”

This is beautiful, kind of old-worldly in a way. The fabrics are total luxury and I love her art choices too, lots of framed pieces casually grouped and leaning everywhere! xo

DeleteWell I'm such a fan of the beautiful and talented Jessica I was curious about her home. I think it fits her description of a 'soul retrieval" transformation. I sense her personal connections throughout the rooms in the choice of deep, lush colors and patterns and unique art. I love that first photo, such a lusty shade of green!
