Fashion inspiration: MARK LEIBOWITZ
July 10, 2011
Mark Leibowitz
shot this stunning
fashion photo series
a few years ago.
Just returned from
a high school grad party in honor of one of
my favorite blondes on the planet (3rd from right),
and these images are especially for her.
The series is titled"Backstage" from the
Paris Ready to Wear fashion shows (2009)
for Galliano.
Omg.
Psychedelic chaos.
Poetic motion
and
Delicious confusion.
Leibowitz blends fashion,
reportage, and portraiture
with his photography.

Doesn't this inspire you
to pick up a camera, a pen, a paintbrush,
or clay and have a GO?
So go.
Yeeeeaaaahhh, GO, baby.
(You're supercute when you're creatively stoked.)
Peace to you right where you are.

ReplyDeleteAmazing images and congratulations to your grad! All these colors though remind me I need to get outside in the gorgeous weather and garden. Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Both the girls and the artwork!
ReplyDeleteIt's as if he captured a moment in a dream and froze it.
Love it.
Thanks for sharing. Was not familiar with his work.

Oh, YEAH...
ReplyDeleteit does, indeed!
I took a photo
class last winter
and one assignment
was to capture
motion....it was
a blast. I went
to the Mall of
America and shot
all kinds of cool
rides in the amusement
park....LOTS of color!
These are soooo
inspiring and amazing!

Good morning Michele,
ReplyDeleteI will watch you instead - because you are way more creative than I am with the camera and the paint brushes!
Beautiful ladies!
And talk about art work with real movement. Very nice.
Hugs to you,
Mon
Wowza! I am blown away - juicy psychedelic and confused poetry... a magic mushroom effect without the magic mushrooms! ;-)
ReplyDeleteStunning!
Happy week to you, my lovely.
Meera xx
