62 Romantic Farmhouse Christmas Ideas
December 19, 2016Dreamy Whites Christmas |
Let's warm our hearts with romantic,
dreamy, farmhouse Christmas and holiday
decorating inspiration from some
of my favorites on the web.
It is dangerously cold outside, and while I ventured
out in it yesterday for some shopping and performing
at a fun private event at Lululemon, I am ready
to simply admire the snow through the window
glass today. (If you follow @HelloLovelyStudio
on Instagram, you may have heard our
beachy duet posted this morning!).
Maria of DreamyWhitesLifestyle creates the
most simple romantic vignettes with her favorite
farmhouse pretties which include vintage French
finds, bulldogs, chunky knits, shiplap, old doors,
and white everything...so it's such a treat
to behold images of her holiday home
which whispers let's get cozy in hushed tones.
I'll show you what I mean.

Aren't your spirits just lifted with airy hope
after viewing those holiday moments of lovely?
Susan of Kindred Vintage also has a talent
for eliciting a tranquil and timeless mood
with quiet pastels, rustic accessories,
and a feathery light atmosphere in
her farmhouse holiday decor.
It's as if each image beckons us to
cozy on down,
tread softly,
and
gently allow
peace
to be
born
in our hearts.

Friends, both those whom I have journeyed with,
and those whom I have yet to meet in the flesh,
I wish you light and love this Christmas.
Though this site is very much devoted to
all things interior design and lovely to behold,
I so want it to equally reflect the beauty of peaceful living
we all so desperately need to nourish and heal us as we grow.
I am gazing out at the sunlit snow this very moment
and sending its purity over the river and through the woods
to your heart and soul...
Peace to you right where you are.

ReplyDeletei could stare at dreamy farmhouse lovely all day long. sometimes i do!
DeleteRunning out of adjectives..... for all this gorgeousness. Seeing the fur wreath again reminds me to say thank you! I took some old material I bought several, no, many many years ago to make a sheep and cut into strips, glued to a wreath form and hung with an open weave burlap bow on an old hall tree in our entry. It's my new favorite... but I think I'll be on the lookout for a similar ribbon in a pale yellow or green next year..oh! Wouldn't these look just as pretty at Easter?
ReplyDeletei love hearing about your creating, cindy! now you are making me itch to create a sheep! xox
