Books: LADUREE {6 sweet secrets}

Laduree: The Sweet Recipes
Laduree: Sucre The Recipes
by Andrieu, Philippe (2011) Hardcover

I was a macaron virgin until 2 springs ago
when I baked some because we don't have a single
bakery in town, Paris is like expensive,
and I am a somewhat naive fearless baker.

Everywhere you turned in blogland
was one more sexy photo of a colorful macaron
and the celadon green facade of:

an elegant Paris pastry house.

With the opening of
Maison Laduree
in NYC,
the probability this blogger
will nibble Laduree yum
improves considerably!

On to sweet secrets!

Laduree made the pastries for the film
Marie Antoinette.

Laduree is famous for double decker macarons
and sell 15,000 daily.

Louis Ernest Laduree was a prolific writer.

Laduree's grandson Pierre Desfontaines
had the brilliant idea of opening a TEA ROOM
in 1930, which was a hit with women
(who at that time were not admitted to cafes!).

The international development of Laduree
began in 2005 with London.

Laduree recipes.
Omg. So beautiful I don't wanna
touch the pages without gloves.
