Sunday Suppers: Recipes + Gatherings
is the brainchild of Karen Mordechai,
who lives in Williamsburg Brooklyn and favors

She works with local artisans and crafters to create
monthly dinners in a magical airy space.

Sunday Suppers: Recipes + Gatherings

I adore this idea of thoughtful, soulful, monthly dinners.

I can't wait to get a copy and lose myself in pages
of Sunday suppers (warms my soul just
typing the words).

Karen's styling is so breathtaking, and seeing her work
posted at Rebecca's struck a chord and
inspired me to up my game.
Maybe I will.

I am back in the blustery midwest after two gorgeous
weeks of weather in the 80's, sea turtles, surf
competitions, and even Sony's Golf open.

My husband may have obsessed a tad over real estate guides
while we hung out sans kitchen on Oahu's North Shore.
Catching one of those gnarly North Shore waves
and living to tell will do that to a soul.

  5. I would love to come to your Sunday Supper. Love these talented folks, although I don't have their cookbook yet, I've been using recipes from their blog for years. Your Hawaii trip sounds just amazing! Don't kill yourself, but if you want to take a few steps to get in shape, go for it. I've had a lot of luck focusing on protein and veggies. Nothing crazy, I do eat bread now and then, but when I put on some lbs over the holidays I gave it up completely, as well as sugar and alcohol during the weekdays... Until last night when I accidentally got into a bowl of chocolate kisses. Oops. Here's to good health - but mostly here's to happiness! And here's to you. Have a lovely weekend XOXO

  7. I feel as though I have been taken away for a few minutes - such gorgeous images! The cookbook sounds delicious and gorgeous photography…somehow my food never looks quite like that! Happy weekend!

  8. All the bread looks so good...cant have eat it any more...they have genetically changed it and I have become intolerant to it...I so wish they would leave our food alone...I have a friend that orders all her bread from Europe...they don't allow G.M.O. She says its so good and she can digest it with out any problems...Glad you had a wonderful trip!

  9. I LOVE idea of Sunday Suppers - the meal and the book. It's on my list of things to check out this week.

  13. Yep.. count me in the bread (and wine club;) Moderation rather than elimination is my thing.. unless of course there is a known food allergy which would be a total bummer.

I like the minimalist approach with everything and I think I need this book. Thank you for sharing Michele. xxL

  14. Truly a soul-FULL post,
    Michele! Love the pic of
    your happy place, and this
    books looks splendid!!!

I am more and more pulled
    towards minimalism as I
    "grow up." Probably because
I don't have time nor inclination
    to wade through the extraneous,
    in anything!

    Welcome home, my friend <3
