Lovely Finds: Piet Boon {The Jane}

August 15, 2016

In another life, high-end contemporary restaurant
THE JANE, designed by P i e t  B o o n,
was a chapel in a military hospital.

Can you imagine how many conversations
with the divine occurred in this place
where fine dining now meets rock-n-roll?

The design preserved the original ceiling
and thoughtfully left as much of the
space's beauty intact.

Piet Boon describes the space as
understated,
pure,
and
respectful.

I might add:
sacred,
brilliant,
and
transcendent.

Located in Antwerp, chefs Sergio Herman
and Nick Bril create a truly unique
experience for diners.

I know not what you are,
artful melange of lovely...
but YES, please.

Oh my, I do think Piet Boon may have outdone themselves with The Jane.

I learned about this genius place in the new book
Piet Boon Studio, a must own for fans of
the bespoke style of Piet Boon.

The new insanely gorgeous book with its thrilling textural book cover. Oui. Thrilling.

Hello Lovely has had a love affair with Piet Boon's
interior stylist Karin Meyn for some time...

Stay tuned for a forthcoming photo shoot starring a meatier version
of this blog fairy reading the new Piet Boon book on my kitchen table!

What a lovely restaurant!

Perhaps, I'll begin calling my little dining room
here at the fixer upper (above)
The Jane to elevate its cool factor.

Are we feelin Piet Boon style?

Peace to you right where you are.
