My Art: Where My Art Lives {music gallery}

July 30, 2012

Trio of my panels in the homeowners'
bedroom where they requested
lyrics from 'their song' as well as
metallic graphic goodness.

You may recognize this homeowner
as my sis.

My niece Jessie!

This leather chair belonged to someone
special in our family and is soooooo comfy.

A career in the music business
is very apparent.

Not to brag.
But my Beatles panel is flanked by
autographed messages from Cisco
and an almost nude Janet...hard to top.
I think you can sense the sense of humor
and fun that radiates from my sister's home
which is always full of teens and music making.

Do you have a special 'our song' with your honey?

Peace to you right where you are.

  3. OK NOW I get it...the music is in your genes..duh! I can see her love of music all around her house and what great memorabilia there is too! It might sound corny but remember we are talking 26 years ago our "song" was Endless Love.....and so far so good:)

  4. Michele,

Thanks for sharing this personal post! Talented sister you have and look at all that memorabilia!! I can just imagine the fun you two must have. My Mom was a pianist and tried to get me to follow in her footsteps. I was not interested and I regret that. Starting to sing or play an instrument early in life is so important.

Loved this. Have a great start to a new week.

  5. Wow, so that's a home that not everyone can have, with all of those amazing musical touches! We danced to "Come Away With Me" and I still love it 9 years later (and my husband :)).

Your panels look perfect in your sister's beautiful musical home.

Hubby and I danced to "Be Mine - David Gray" and it always brings back the wonderful memories of our special day :)

  15. Love your art and
    the fact that your
    sister loves it, too ~
    How lucky are YOU??

    My honey and I don't
    have one specific song,
    but since we've known
    each other since age 19
    and are the same age,
    many songs bring us
    back to shared or similar
    experiences. Music is
    a very important part of
    our home and lives, as
    well ~ the background
    of it all : )

    Happy Thursday. I'm
    catching up from my
    last round of company!

    xo Suzanne
