Hello Lovely Skinny Laptop
March 05, 2017
Confession.
I'm not crazy bout machines.
Not good with them.
I make bread the old fashioned way,
have no idea how a microwave
cooks my oatmeal every morning, and
it's surprising I can operate a vehicle.
But I needed a new machine.
When you rely on a laptop for work and
the old heavy one they don't even produce
anymore whirs like a jet, leaves burn marks
on your bare legs, and seems
destined to blow at any moment,
it's time to greet
something new,
something light,
and
something reliable...
Hello, Lovely, Skinny Laptop machine I don't hate one bit.
Hello, Lovely, HP Elitebook Folio.
After researching options, I decided the
would be perfect since I am on the go
as a writer and and blogger,
and I'm grateful HP partnered
with me, providing this computer which is
not only thin, but dare I say it?
Elegant.

Cool yer jets.
I may not be machinesmart,
but I know looks aren't everything.
Before I decided an Elitebook would fit the bill,
I researched it.
I tried out a bunch of keyboards
since a good tactile feel to a writer
who types almost all day, everyday
is, like, um, everything.
(Apparently I have like totally been spending
like too much time in the valley lately or whatever.)
The other thing that mattered to me?
Good battery life since the old typing machine
just could not keep a decent charge.
Enter a Skinny new silver laptop savior.
Yay for battery life!
You may have spotted the laptop when I posted pics
the other day of the new slipcovers for the sofas at
the Arizona fixer upper, and since I rarely
sit at a desk (I work at the kitchen island,
from bed, on the sofa, and on planes), I truly
appreciate how skinny and light this baby is.
How light?
Around 2 pounds.
Yep.
This bed is often my office...like the Brushstrokes sheets? |

When I'm not working from my "inter-nest," I can
be found at the Arizona fixer upper all cozylike.

(helping my folks navigate their health traumas)
were less than lovely.
Jo is crushing on this laptop too and may have
to welcome one into her life.

Fine. I don't typically blog while in ruffle cotton-y goodness but this baby's a looker. |

I can't wait to share more of the place with you very soon.

This blogger still loves to blog, and the HP EliteBook Folio is her new favorite creative tool. |
(newsflash: at my age, your face can appear
tense like even when you're totally relaxed...
in fact, your spouse may inquire "what's wrong?"
even when you're in sunglasses because of the
elevens and a tense-midlife-face thing),
I am diggin this laptop lifestyle
since it means I can work from anywhere
with a pretty new Elitebook.
Hope this finds you well, and if you care to see
this light as a feather laptop on video, see it

like totally check 'em out:
Peace to you right where you are.
