Blue and white have proven themselves
to be the best of friends and perfectly paired
in a kitchen design of any style.
Whether your poison is weathered azure,
watery turquoise, or wedgewood wonderful,
you can count on it to have timeless,
staying power when paired with its bestie,
white, and all of the other colors of
the rainbow as well.
Let's take a tour of farmhouse kitchens
grand and simple,
and shhhhhhhh! I'm even starting us out with a
sneak peek of our Arizona fixer upper kitchen
in progress this very moment.

I am feathering it with hushed blue-grey,
linen sand, and of course, varying hues of glorious
lovely white.
Below you can see the freshly painted cabinets,
new hardware (there was none), and newly installed quartz
in a brand new color from LG Viatera called Soprano.

The cheerful blue range above reminded me of one of the Spring 2017 colors from Pantone called NIAGRA. (NIagra, not to be confused with the pharmstuff whose introduction to the marketplace seemed to overtake our sleepy little town a decade ago and changed my comfort at the grocery store forever...men of a certain age emerged from the woodwork and glimpsing my wrinkles and feeling they have a shot, lay on the pickup lines...I have verified this with scientific research, and the stuff rhyming with Niagra truly cramps my style when all I desire are eggs, butter, and safety from over the hill Roxbury gents.) so easy to find at the fleamarket and remarkably
versatile when you combine the patterns for
casual whimsy?

Beautiful, I agree blue and white are best friends in any design. Love it!! Your kitchen is dreamy, loved the two little framed prints on your counter. They remind me of two I purchased for my guest bath.

DeleteWe're just remodeled our kitchen and its blue and white! I love it. White cabinets around the perimeter and a blue (Van Deusen" blue from Benjamin Moore) island. Also have a blue tile backsplash.
