Who follows up a very modest modern farmhouse
DIY kitchen renovation with a modern bespoke
French Chateau reno as a springboard
for beautiful decor inspiration?
This girl.
So smile! It's FANTASY FRIDAY.
Not to be confused with Fantasy Fries Day,
but if it were...

The sight of fantasy fries inspired me to
create this happy meme for you:

One of my favorite things about blogging about
lovely inspirational finds is that even the most
bespoke, costly, interior design projects
can frequently yield decorating ideas
for little ol' bourgeoisie babes like us.
So seeing the hand-painted CHERRY BLOSSOMS
in the beyond beautiful fantasy closet
in the renovated Chateau de Saint Cloud
(in the famous Paris suburb)
sent my LOVELY alarm screaming as I
have been daydreaming about creating
my own painted cherry blossom moment
in our little laundry room, my studio,
or both.
So first I'll share this fantasy renovation project
by Tristan Auer/Wilson Associated, and
then stay tuned for the cherry blossom
post to further inspire our design schemes!
The homeowner's art collection is so
cool and rock and roll when mixed
with the heavenly historical
bones of the chateau, and
I can't wait to hear what
you think about the place.

AND THE ONLY PRESCRIPTION WOULD

MORE CHERRY BLOSSOMS.

What is Saint Cloud Park?
The grounds of a long-gone château.
The château and grounds were created in the 16th century and embellished by the brother of Louis XIV, and his architects Le Pautre and Hardouin-Mansart.
Marie-Antoinette carried out further modifications, and
in the 19th century it was the royal summer residence,
but the château burnt down in 1870.
The remaining parts of the building were razed in 1891.
Are you surprised at the modern re-design in
this chateau, chock full of gorgeous modern
