You are in for a treat with a collection of
beautiful rooms with eclectic decor and
design style seen through the lens of
Oberto Gili.
There will be unforgettable eclectic interiors
captured by a master to behold,
OH, YES, we shall be charmed...
but first, a word about
yesterday when I shared
and a little about other illnesses which have
colored my days and wisened my ways.
I sure hope it didn't overwhelm you terribly...
I felt compelled to express a lot of
gratitude since so often we take for granted the
modern medicine which makes all kinds of healing
and comfort available.
It was also important to me to raise awareness about
hereditary cancers and the preventative choices
available which may at first seem extreme
in the short term.
I can't stress enough how thankful
I feel for organ donors...the skin I needed for
my surgeries was there because of
the kindness of strangers who chose
to donate...what a blessing
you donors are!
And how is girlfriend going to creatively
segue from a spiel about genetic mutation to
a post with genius interior photography
from Oberto Gili?
How about this...
It may be clear to you how
I have this passion for interiors:
for room decor AND the soul keeping variety.
I think what an illness, shattered dream, or failure
can potentially do for a soul is to powerfully
bring one's fragility into clearer focus.
Right?
When the shadow comes, we suddenly see
our life's landscape through a different lens.
I think this is maybe how beautiful photos
are born too...those eyes behind the camera
understand the dance between light and shadow.
They know how to play with it to unlock beauty.
That dance is where you'll find me these days.
Onward.

Ah, lovely post. Remember: at the end of our lives it's not the things we did that are going to be so important; it's the things we wanted to do but never did that will bother us. So why not get cracking today - make that bucket list and start checking it off! I followed a dream and moved half way across the country leaving behind 40 years of friendships and habits. SO glad I did. Now anything seems possible.
