Decor Inspiration: Swedish Apartment {Elin Kling's Ostermalm Home}

December 01, 2013

You've seen the stylish and Swedish
Elin Kling on this blog before, but now her
home is for sale (she's headed to NYC),
and it's gush time!!!

Just one bedroom, but isn't it a lovely pad?

I love Elin's laidback style.

Just directed my husband to these images, and he's all
'very plain...wow...empty' and it sort of burst my
bubble for 2 seconds until I
glanced back and my imagination
so fiercely ignited that
my noggin nearly exploded.

White interiors affect some of us
at the CELLULAR level, yo.

The hush of the pale blush coverlet,
the old mouldings, the simple leaning mirror,
and the ladder!

The teeny kitchen is a lot like the one
in the place we rented in Paris last year, and
I wonder if the adage 'everyone always winds
up in the kitchen anyway' resonates with
European friends cuz man, that would be tight.

Isn't this the picture of tranquility?

Peace to you right where you are.

  2. Ha! I don't know what your husband is talking about - it doesn't look empty or plain to me at all. Just beautiful and tranquil. That bathroom, wow. Even if the kitchen would be a bit cozy with a crowd! A pied a terre in Sweden? How lovely. XOXO

  3. I love it!! So chic and pure. Look at the tall ceilings and all that light. Plus, Ostermalm is a very posh neighborhood with fabulous shops and parks.
