{DIY} My Fortuny Stenciled Dressing Room

December 09, 2013

Today I'm sharing a few more shots of
my stenciled wall project from the
other day!

Does my romantic, feminine dressing room (which is actually just a big closet
in a guest room and not where anyone dresses) look more like a
baby's nursery than a grown woman's hangout?

But you already know I haven't
quite grown up yet.

The stencil I used is a great big one (26" x 43")
called Fortuny by Royal Design Studio.

The large stencil size means much less work and time!

The base color on the wall is
Benjamin Moore White Dove,
and the light grey I rolled on
is Martha Stewart Sharkey Gray.

The industrial rolling racks were
lovingly made by my husband.

Do you like the newly embellished closet wall,
which required no special skills to complete?
It was a breeze with the gorgeous stencil.

Next mission: configuring fairy lights inside the closet.

Peace to you right where you are.

  18. Ahhhh, of course fairy lights... that would be the piece de resistance... ( i know i didn't spell that right)
I loooove your dressing room/closet/magical 3D art creation. And that custom industrial rack is so freakin great. I need one for a bedroom upstairs that doesn't have a closet. It's really really cool! Ever since seeing this space i have been walking around here looking for a place to do the exact same stencil with the exact same colors... it's sooooooooooooooooo pretty! I really do just want to go sit right in the middle of the floor in there
