By now you must have surmised I have no eye
or talent for gardening, floral arranging, or
keeping vegetation alive.

I have three plants hanging on for dear life right now:
elephant bush and two angel plants...heaven help me.

So I have the utmost admiration for those of you
who excel at such magic.

These Holiday Ladies where created as a window dressing. If i had my own flower shop i would so do this as a window display. I love this idea.

These creative arrangements make me smile.

So does a new book which just arrived chock full
of inspiration from a true master: Per Benjamin.

With truly original ideas and innovation, this chic volume
proves an interior can go from a simple room to an
environment living, breathing, and emoting with style.

my skill level and what I happen to have on hand.

  2. I love the use of
    fresh greens for
    Christmas, but it's
    tough to keep them
    fresh for long with
    the dryness from the
    furnace! Someday
    I'd love to live somewhere
    more humid, where
    they'd last longer....
If I did, I'd use mounds
    of holly on mantles,
    cedar and Frasier Fir
    for the scent, tuck in
    magnolia behind picture
    frames, and of course,
    line window sills with
    pots and pots of forced
    bulbs!

    Hope you are having
    a relaxed and calm week,
    my friend!

  6. I do not get to our library as much as I would like, but if one of THESE libraries were nearby ----- I WOULD LIVE THERE!
I can imagine walking into any one of them --- the smell would envelope me and it would be a
totally religious experence, I am certain!
