I have a soft spot for cottage style...
do you?

Better Homes and Gardens
is a new to me book I spotted
at Lowe's and has all sorts of
yummy ideas for casual livable decorating.

Many of you will instantly recognize
Maria's house in the book!

Whether you own a cottage or not,
there are inspiring ideas
and before-and-afters to enjoy.

I love that brown and cream scramble
fabric by Annie Selke on the chair!

If you could wave a magic wand,
where would you place your
dream cottage?

Mine would be oceanside somewhere in Hawaii.

p.s.
sweet melaine is hosting a
giveaway for one of my paintings...
i hope you win!

Peace to you right where you are.

  2. Great looking book. I'll have to pick up a copy. If I could have a dream cottage anywhere....I really think it might be by the ocean in Charleston, South Carolina. I really love it there.

  7. You know i have a soft spot for anything cottagy.
Actually, i like North Carolina, so i would have a beach cottage right on the ocean just for special times, and a cottage with a meadow near where i live right now.

  15. I had a dreamy little cottage just a few streets away from where we live now. It was just a little too small for the two of us, and since I bought it before I married Mr. H, he didn't feel totally like it was his place, too. So down the street we moved to something bigger, with decidedly less charm. Oh well. Charm is what you make it, I think.
The ultimate dream cottage? Nantucket, please! XOXO
