Lovely Finds: Grainsack Pillows

August 31, 2011

Allow me to introduce...

Sassy Cat Creations

My favorite DAYTIME PILLOW!
yaaaaa, i'm shouting!

You would shout too.

This lovely 14"x18" stripe-tastic beauty
surprised me.

She enhances my everyday,
cushions my lower back
at the desk chair,
and quite simply
looks pretty
dang
fabulous
just tossed around.

She was created by
lovely hands at
Sassy Cat Creations,
where there is never an extra charge
for bonus
SASS.

I ask you.
Is there such a thing as too many pillows?

And how can so much
nubby-licious,
charmingly vintage,
slipcover-y
G L O R Y
be wrong...

when it feels so right?
Here is her backside.
Dude...cool it with the cat calls.

Let's pause with this
precious kitty image
to cleanse our palates
of tickingly tantalizing
blue cushions,
shall we?

Time to continue ahead
with a peek at antique grainsack pillows
decorated with
RED
(or blooming with cabbage roses!).

Yep.
Sassy Cat
even wound up on the COVER
and featured in Better Homes & Gardens.

Since I also love fabric
from Cabbages and Roses,
it's pretty much over
for little moi.

Think I may need one
JUST FOR TRAVELING.
And one
JUST FOR THE GUEST ROOM.
One
JUST FOR THE SPOILED POOCH.
A 'grainsack intervention'
seems appropriate about now.

  1. These are wonderful pillows and ones that can be used. I'm a pillow maker but my pillows can't be used they're decorative because of age. So any pillow that can be used gets my vote....beautiful. And yes, I have way to many pillows about!

  2. i am guilty of pillow obsession. I am always finding one (or two) I like better, so I end up with overflow in the closet. But then, after some time goes by, I pull out the stored ones and mix it all up again. I find it is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to freshen the look of a room.

Happily, I suffer from chronic pillow buying disorder too and marlin's beard, i recently discovered that its hereditary! Do you know what that means? No guilt! Blame it on the Genes, it wasn't me!
