pleasure is a celebrity home...
I love Meg Ryan's style, whether it's fashion or
home decor so it is a real treat to see the inspiring
interiors in her chic New York apartment in
Architectural Digest.
(Even though she's appeared in a bunch of films,
Meg is not comfortable at all with celebrity status
and the pressures which accompany movie stardom.
She has said that she would never make it in today's
industry with social media scrutiny and all the
judging...and I think this is an interesting point she
brings up about how much things have changed for
actors and entertainers...so it's no surprise she makes
her home in New York, about as far away from the
L.A. scene as possible without leaving the country.)

I had the experience of a first time New York visit last summer and LOVED every minute of it. The people, the food, the sights, the sounds....it was magnificent and I would go back in a heartbeat!!

ReplyDeleteI've always loved Meg's style, and really miss seeing her in movies. I love the idea of that glassed-in kitchen, especially in such a large, open space. Great post! (And actually, that was As the World Turns, not All My Children...def. dating myself as I remember it well!)

Deletedon't you love Meg's apartment?! I just saw it yesterday and totally flipped:) My son is (hopefully temporarilly) in Brooklyn and my daughters future inlaws live in NewPort RI .......so we be trav-lin!
