Farmhouse style decor and modern farmhouse

I have been in interior design heaven sharing
the designs of Milieu magazine editor Pamela Pierce,
and Milieu's archives

I have been in interior design heaven sharing
the designs of Milieu magazine editor Pamela Pierce,
and Milieu's archives
introduced me to a modern farmhouse from
the brilliant Eleanor Cummings.
Before establishing Eleanor Cummings Interiors in 1986,
the designer worked with Collins and Huff Interiors
and Houston Home and Garden Magazine.
Cummings is known for her distinct use of reclaimed materials
and unexpected touches, and as you'll see here in images
of her Texas country house filled with French style,
she also has a unique way
with color, atmosphere, and tranquility.
She likes the same light blue that I do,
and her designs have inspired me to
introduce this color where I can because
it lightens my spirit and makes me smile.
Her work is so beautiful, and I so admire the way she
approached this farmhouse project in Round Top, Texas...
which is understated, sophisticated, and full of light.
I would feel very much at ease in this
quiet, harmonious home.
