Property Brothers Take New Orleans {Kitchens}
January 06, 2017
The Property Brothers, HGTV's popular twins with a preference for slapstick comedy and competing with each other (in addition to transforming homes), recently filmed the series
Brothers Take New Orleans.
Brothers Take New Orleans.
In this four part renovation story, brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott are armed with $100,000 each and compete side-by-side to increase the property value of two traditional New Orleans shotgun houses with a little help from locals. Guest judges familiar with the Big Easy's architecture, including Scott Bakula (NCIS) and Hoda Kotb (The Today Show), pick a winner every week, and at the end, the two homes are given to two families in need.
I enjoyed the series and wanted to get a closer look at these New Orleans transformations, so let's take a tour and decide which kitchen we think deserves the win: will it be this first kitchen from Drew in its Brooklyn Modern Glory or the second kitchen from Jonathan with its Modern Farmhouse Charm?

This is basically the shell the brothers begin with
at the start of the week in the New Orleans shotgun.

What do you think of the Brooklyn Modern style
of Drew's kitchen?
Jonathan's kitchen is a more country style...
