You may have seen this amazing Tennessee mountain
cottage with Carpenter-Gothic-style and modern farmhouse
interior design by Rachel Halvorson
when it was featured in Southern Living.
But since this is a new to me project, I was overjoyed
to see how the designer and homeowners worked
magic inside a charming home located in an
idyllic setting.
If you love shiplap, beadboard, planked wood,
board-and-batten, and swaths of white paint,
this home's interiors belong on your Pinterest boards!
I love the neutral palette (which makes
room for bold colorful statements like the rug
in a bedroom below) and all the charm infused
with vintage finds and natural materials.
Onward to lovely.

Although it's cozy, it's still not quite as tiny a sitting area as
vintage-y sectional here, but oh my!

If you are a shabby chic freak, then I bet
these chenille bedspreads and Frenchie
looking twin beds are tugging at your
heartstrings and nostalgic soul.
I personally love a Beachy Swedish California
flavor of shabby chic which you can score a
taste of in this treasure trove of lovely.

I have not seen rustic open shelving quite
like this flanking a pedestal sink, and it's
killer genius...notice the little hooks added
for even more function and daily ease.
Rachel Halvorson, your mix mastery and
small space pretty organization skills are the goat.

I had to stare at this bedroom above for a few
moments to thoroughly take in the voodoo
applied to this gorgeous tiny space with a great
big bed and even grander style.
OMG.
Looks like the room may not have even
accommodated the headboard, and yet it
can function as a comfy cozy sleeping space.
(I pity the one who must do the acrobatics
and workout entailed with getting
a fitted sheet successfully on the mattress,
but it would burn some serious calories!)

I have long admired Rachel's style. I did a post on the house she did for Country Music's Ronnie Dunn several years back http://roughluxeperspective.blogspot.com/2013/12/nashvilles-darlingrachel-halvorson.html. Thanks for sharing this I am so happy to see more of her goodness!!
