You may know by now that I'm a self-proclaimed
STAY AT HOME GYPSY
who aint trotting the globe like many of you,
but I do feel the itch to plan a vacation
getaway, and today's post may have
you itching as well.

Set among thirteen acres of formal gardens,
the elegant Borgo Santo Pietro transports you
to a different era without sacrificing
any modern luxury.

Once a resting place for pilgrims on their way
to Rome, the 13th-century villa has been fully
restored into a sixteen-bedroom haven
with hotel-worthy amenities.

Though it feels like its own world,
the property is close to both Florence and Siena.

Tucked among manicured lawns and paths, find:
an orchard and organic vegetable garden,
a pool and jetted tub,
outdoor shower,
playground,
tennis, basketball and bocce courts,
ping-pong table and trampoline,
Wi-Fi access,
wine cellar,
and on-site spa.

Borgo Santo Pietro’s interiors are classically sumptuous with:
stone floors,
original fireplaces,
plush upholstery,

In the main house, there are six bedrooms,
